How UnfallExperten Team GmbH collects, uses and protects personal data.

Privacy at a glance

General information

This policy provides an overview of what happens to personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is information that can identify you personally.

Data collection on this website

The website operator processes the data. Contact details are stated in the legal notice. We collect data you provide, for example by email, by telephone or through the ClaimTec web application. Our IT systems also collect technical data automatically when you visit, including browser, operating system and time of access. Some data is required for reliable website operation; other data may be used to analyse use of the website.

Your rights

Under the applicable law, you may request information about the origin, recipients and purpose of stored personal data. You may also request the correction of inaccurate data or the deletion of data that is no longer required and complain to the competent supervisory authority.

Analytics and third-party tools

Your use of this website is analysed only if you expressly accept optional analytics and advertising technologies through the cookie settings. Google services are not loaded without your consent. You can change your choice at any time using the permanently available "Cookie settings" button. Further information is provided in this privacy policy.

General and mandatory information

Data protection

We treat personal data confidentially and in accordance with the applicable data protection rules and this policy. Internet transmission, including email, may contain security vulnerabilities; complete protection from third-party access is not possible.

Controller

The controller is UnfallExperten Team GmbH, Uetwilen 2, 8564 Engwilen, Switzerland. The controller determines the purposes and means of processing personal data.

Withdrawal of consent

Many data-processing activities require your express consent. You can change or withdraw your consent to analytics and advertising technologies at any time using the permanently available "Cookie settings" button. Alternatively, you may notify us by informal email. Processing carried out before withdrawal remains lawful.

Complaint

The competent Swiss supervisory authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). Contact information is available at www.edoeb.admin.ch.

Data portability

You may request data processed automatically on the basis of consent or performance of a contract in a commonly used machine-readable format. Direct transfer to another controller will take place only where technically feasible.

Access, correction and deletion

Within the applicable legal framework, you may request access to stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of processing. You may request the correction of inaccurate data and, where no statutory or contractual grounds prevent it, its deletion.

Unsolicited advertising

Use of contact details published as part of the legal notice to send unsolicited advertising or information is objected to. We reserve the right to take legal action against unsolicited advertising such as spam email.

Data collected on this website

Cookies

This website may use cookies. Cookies are small text files stored by your browser; they do not damage your device or contain viruses. Session cookies are deleted when the visit ends; others remain until deleted and can recognise the browser on a later visit. Browser settings can notify you, allow cookies only in individual cases, reject them or delete them on closing. Disabling cookies may restrict website functions.

Storage that is technically necessary for electronic communication or for functions you expressly request is based on our overriding legitimate interest under Article 31(2) DSG. Analytics and advertising technologies are activated only with your consent and are addressed separately in this privacy policy.

Server log files

The hosting provider automatically records browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name, request time and IP address. These records are not combined with other data sources. Processing is based on our legitimate interest in technical provision and security under Article 31(2) DSG.

Customer and contract data

We process personal data only where necessary to establish, perform or amend a contractual relationship. The basis is performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures under Article 31(2)(a) DSG. Usage data is processed only where needed to provide or bill for services. Customer data is deleted after completion of the assignment or business relationship, subject to statutory retention periods.

Expert-report assignments

For vehicle reports and damage assessments, we process contact details, vehicle data and information relevant to the damage. Personal data is transferred to third parties only where necessary for contractual performance, for example cooperating experts or, on your instruction, insurers, solicitors or courts. We do not disclose data for advertising without express consent. Processing is based on contractual performance under Article 31(2)(a) DSG.

Data processing in ClaimTec

ClaimTec is our separate web application at claimtec.xmen.ch. When you use ClaimTec, we process the contact details, vehicle data and damage information you enter, as well as the damage photographs and documents you upload. We use this data to handle your enquiry and prepare the commissioned repair-cost calculation.

Processing is carried out to take pre-contractual measures or perform a contract under Article 31(2)(a) DSG. Data is disclosed only to persons and technical service providers where necessary for the secure operation of the application and performance of the assignment. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.

Analytics and advertising

Google Analytics 4

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse website use. Information is generally transmitted to and stored on Google servers. In Google Analytics 4, IP addresses are shortened by default and are not logged or stored in full.

Google Analytics is loaded only after you have expressly consented through the cookie settings. Processing is based on your consent under Article 31(1) DSG. Transfer to the USA cannot be excluded; Google LLC is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Google Ads conversion tracking

We also use Google Ads conversion tracking, but only after you have given your express consent. If you arrive through a Google advertisement or contact us through the website, for example using an email or telephone link, a conversion-tracking cookie may be set. These cookies are used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising statistically.

Opt-out

You can withdraw your consent at any time using the "Cookie settings" button. You can also delete cookies in your browser, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or disable personalised advertising in Google Ads settings.

Further information about how Google handles user data is available in Google's privacy policy.
