ClaimTec for businesses – FAQ

Do we need our own SilverDAT licence or software?
No. Damage recording runs directly in the browser and on the smartphone. The calculation is prepared by our vehicle experts with SilverDAT – you receive the result as a PDF. You save the ongoing licence costs and the training effort for a complex calculation program.
What is the data basis for the calculation?
Calculations are made with SilverDAT based on manufacturer-compliant repair data: the vehicle is usually identified precisely via its VIN, labour times and related operations are calculated automatically. The vehicle data covers virtually all common makes and models.
How much does a calculation cost?
The price depends on the damage amount: from CHF 50.– (damage below CHF 2,000) to CHF 250.– (damage above CHF 50,000), each excl. VAT. The full price table is above on this page.
How is it billed?
ClaimTec is used on a per-order basis: you pay per calculation, without fixed basic costs.
Can we upload existing damage photos?
Yes. Photos can be taken directly with the smartphone or uploaded as existing files – the guided damage recording shows which shots are required.
When is ClaimTec worthwhile for our business?
Whenever internal capacity is lacking or additional support is needed – for example at peak times or during staff absences. ClaimTec is used as needed, per order.
